Last December at the Banquet hosted by the Five Valleys Chapter of SCI, my wife and I purchased a 3 night 2 day hunt with Castle Valley Outdoors in South Eastern Utah. As it turns out, this was one of my best “investments” in 2009. For those familiar with the stock and real estate markets, 2009 was not a vintage year!!!  However, the upland bird hunting was fantastic.

Excellent guides, strong flying pheasants and chukkars, and the best pointers I have ever seen. Beautiful lodge in a spectacular setting, Gourmet country meals. This is the fifth year that Castle Valley Outdoors has been an Orvis endorsed lodge. Jim Fauver, the Manager, and his staff make you feel like family from the minute you walk in the door.
