I had the pleasure of spending a few fine days hunting at Castle Valley and I can honestly say that it was the best time I've ever had hunting. That being said, it was my first and only time hunting. But I had so much fun and the people that I met were so nice and patient with me. Thanks to Astro Aluminum for inviting me to this great experience, and thanks to Castle Valley for a special memory that will last the rest of my life.Richard Mendes

Manager - Jim Fauver
Jim Fauver, Manager of Castle Valley Outdoors, was born in Utah but spent most of his childhood and teen years in Montana and Wisconsin. Jim has a hunting heritage which stretches back to his time in Montana where he could hunt big game and upland birds with his father and friends. While in college Jim helped with tuition by guiding groups through the Saw Tooth Mountains of Idaho. He now enjoys hunting in the scenic areas around his home in Central Utah.
Before coming to Castle Valley Outdoors, Jim owned and operated his own wingshooting operation. Jim has always loved German Shorthair Pointers and has been training them for wingshooting for more than twenty years. Jim has a background in architecture and had the opportunity to remodel the Pioneer Lodge and design and build the Muddy Creek and Castle Valley Lodge. Jim is the former Assessor for Emery County where he served for almost twenty years. Jim resides in Orangeville, Utah with his wife and four daughters.
Jeremy is our Master Hunting Guide here at Castle Valley Outdoors and has been with us since August 2000. He oversees the raising of our Pheasant, Chukar and Quail used in our premier upland game bird hunting season. He also raises and trains our gun dogs working primarily with German Shorthair Pointer’s and a few Vizsla’s. During the off season he spends time raising up the fields and preparing them for the upcoming hunting season. He also spends time scouting for the big game hunts that we offer at Castle Valley Outdoors - a year round duty he enjoys to help provide a successful hunts for our clients.
Jeremy has spent his whole life in the outdoors, from collecting insects, rocks, fossils, and antlers, to hunting, fly fishing, trapping, hiking and camping. If it has anything to do with nature or the outdoors Jeremy wants to know everything there is to know about it. At a young age he found an interest learning and studying about the ancient Indian cultures native to this area. He is also fascinated with the plant life in our deserts and mountains and has studied them for most his life.
He started hunting at the age of 12 and it has been a passion of his ever since. Jeremy has been blessed with a wife and four boys who all share his passion for hunting and the outdoors, and are very supportive of the labors of his work. One of the things Jeremy enjoys most about his work at Castle Valley Outdoors is the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all over the world. Jeremy is truly passionate about his work and it shows in all aspects in his position.
